• Bus operators in the North-East have decided not to accept a recommendation by the Royal College of Physicians for a complete ban on smoking in buses.
• United Welsh Services Ltd, Thomas Brothers (Port Talbot) Ltd, and Neath and Cardiff Luxury Coaches Ltd are now dormant companies with their assets transferred to the South Wales Transport Co Ltd, the NBC has announced. The Rhondda Transport Co Ltd is now a dormant company with its assets transferred to the Western Welsh Omnibus Co Ltd.
