Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

ANYONE interested historically in commercial vehicles will find " The World's Commercial Vehicles 1830-1964 useful. This book has just been published by Temple Press Books Ltd. and has been compiled by G. M. Georgano.

Essentially, the book is a list of commercial vehicle names and includes 3,335 entries in its 122 pages. This is a worldwide survey, the vehicle manufacturers being from 32 different countries and whilst, in the main, only the proprietary name, name of manufacturer, address and years during which the vehicles were produced are given, in a number of cases brief comments are made about the company. This is generally limited to one line and whilst there are details of amalgamations with other companies in sonic cases—for example, Commer and Karrier are shown as being part of the Rootes Group—this essential information is not included in every case. Examples are that A.E.C. Ltd. is shown as merged with the Leyland Group but there is no reference to Albion, Scammell and Standard being part of the Leyland Group. Also Bedford vehicles are shown as being made by Vauxhall Motors Ltd., but there is no indication that this company is owned by General Motors of America.

The most notable omission found in a quick look through the book is, however, that there is no entry for " Thames " or " Fordson ". The fact that Thames is the name used for commercial vehicles made by the Ford Motor Co. Ltd. is referred to only under the Ford heading and there is no mention at all of Fordson commercial vehicles.
