Phone call from the boss at 08:00hrs asking me to return to the yard as soon as possible as another driver has gone sick and there's an urgent load for Liverpool. So it's down the M5 again into South Molton for a quick trailer swap and I'm heading back up North again by 11:00hrs. Reach Prescott at 17:30hrs and the load is transferred to another trailer straight away as it's due on the Irish ferry this evening. Over to Homebase Southport where I park up for the night. Another lonely night watching TV in the cab, eating sandwiches for tea from the cab fridge.
