Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I read with interest your coverage of the recent pay dispute between Wincanton and some of their night trunking drivers. It seems to me that it is about time that drivers were paid what they are worth instead of big companies constantly umming and ahing about pay increases that they rarely deliver.

Is it any wonder that more and more drivers are being put off careers in the industry when they read reports like this? At least with smaller firms you know where you stand and can talk to the gaffer rather than having to deal with some manager who's probably never stepped to a cab.

Also, if we were paid better then operators would not have to rely on agency drivers who cost them an arm and a leg in wages and agency fees and then treat the equipment with little or no respect.

The number of times I've climbed into a cab after an

agency guy has been in there to find all manner of rubbish including half-eaten sandwiches littering my cab is just horrendous. And then the bosses look surprised when we complain about them. It's high time that they actually took notice of us rather than fobbing us off with another excuse.
