THE FREIGHT Trarisp Association has told the partment of the Environm that the cost to the commui should be included in Oro sals for a lorry ban.
In its response to the I consultative document Pu cation of Financial and Ot Information by Local Autl. ities, it says that the cc munity ultimately pays long diversions on to otl routes.
The FTA refers to subst. tial sums being involved, a quotes the Windsor, A58, a Usk bans (the latter about be scrapped) which are I timated to add Om operating costs with little, any, environmental benefit.
