Greasborough, South Yorkshire: Gas main renewal in Main Street ill disrupt traffic until the end of October, and will close the road to rough traffic between Coach Road and Church Street. There is a version for local traffic, but through traffic should use Haugh Road t Nether Haugh), Rawmarsh, then the 4633 to Rotherham.

Macclesfield: Oxford Road is closed for several months from ugust. Congestion will occur in the vicinity as this road carries 'rough traffic to the 4536 and A537. An alternative route is via Ivy me and Ivy Road.

Midlands

A5: Temporary signals are in use at Copthorne, near Shrewsbury Id at West Felton, between Shrewsbury and Gobowen.

A45: There will be single-lane, alternate-way working at Flore, orthamptonshire (between M1 junction 16 and the AS at Weedon) itil the end of August. Delays are expected at all times.

A47: There are delays at times at Cromwell Road, Wisbech.

M1: Between Junctions 13 and 12 night time work will reduce the )uthbound carriageway to one lane.

Ml: Between Newport Pagnell Services and junction 15 only two mes will be open on each carriageway.

Ml: Due to major reconstruction between junction 13 and 14 the orthbound carriageway is closed, and all traffic is using the southound carriageway until mid-September. M1: There are lane closures for four miles on both carriageway between junction 15 and 18 until mid-October.

Ml: Between junctions 18 and 19, part of the northbound carriage way is being reconstructed for about half a mile. There is two-wa traffic southbound, and severe delays are expected at peak hours.

South-east England

M4: The following sections will be closed from 9pm to 6am eac week on Mondays to Fridays. Between junctions 1 (Chiswick rounc about) and 3 (Parkway), and the westand eastbound slip road between the A4 and Chiswick roundabout.

M25: The new section between All to the A10 does not hay south-east motorway status yet, and drivers of vehicles over 1.5 ton unladen should not exceed 40mph. Al2: There are major roadworks at Kelsale, between Lowesto and Ipswich.

Wales and the West

A4: Delays are likely at peak periods at Hotwell Road, Bristol ar London Road West, Bath.

A458: Delays are possible at Mallwyd, west of Welshpool.

A477: There is only one lane open in each direction on the Carme then/Pembroke Road at Amroth and Kilgetty.

A487: Roadworks are in operation 24 hours a day at Llanfaria three miles south of Aberystwyth.

M5: There are numerous lane closures on both carriagewa' between junction 17 (Bristol West) and 27 (A373 Tiverton).

France

Because of holiday traffic congestion, the French authorities ha. banned goods vehicles exceeding six tonnes gross on certain roal from 8am to lOpm on Saturday August 29.
