For the past six months T&D has been following the 10 Queen's Own Gurkha Logistics Regiment (1000GLR) on its six-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. They have returned home safely, so what better way to celebrate than spending part of their well-earned leave in Peterborough?
They are planning to turn up en-masse, including a piper and even a chef (who hopefully will be making some Gurkha curries), And if you are impressed with what you see, hear and taste, we recommend you buy a raffle ticket to win a day with the Gurkhas. The highlight of this amazing experience will be a chance to drive a variety of military vehicles off road. Tickets can be purchased on the day, and all proceeds will go to the 1000GLR Regimental Trust.
