TTRIPS to Paris by the coach-air service of Skyways, .Ltd., during the Easter holiday period reached a new peak. Heaviest bookings were received for round trips on Easter Monday, when 1,250 passengers were carried. From April 14-19 some 5,200 made the return journey.

The service comprises coach travel from Victoria, London, to Lympne, the flight to Beauvais, and the coach journey from ,the French airport to the centre of Paris. Delays because of heavy traffic on British roads amounted to only an hour on the evening of Easter Monday, when coaches were held up in Maidstone and Lewisham.

HINCKLEY BUS STATION -OPENS IN SEPTEMBER HINCKLEY'S new £20,000 bus station will be opened on September 30 by Mr. C. R. Hodgson, chairman of the East Midland Area Traffic Commissioners, a Hinckley Urban District Council spokesman confirmed this week.

Work on the project began in August, 1959. The new station covers one and a half acres between Lancaster Road. Brunel Road and Rugby Road, Hinckley. Vehicles will enter the station from only Rugby Road and Brunel Road.

OLD BUS GOES RACING CINISHED in the racing colours of the I Beaufort Bunt, a 25-year-old doubledecker bus has been fitted out as a control centre for horse-trial events by Coventry and Jeffs, Ltd., Bristol. On the lower deck is an office for an event director. A television monitor screen enables him to follow the progress of horses around a course. Two-way radio is also provided.

The upper deck has accommodation for a commentator. The vehicle was equipped especially for the Badminton Horse Trials this week, but it will be available for other shows.
