Brewer & Turnbull, the Preston-based international removals and storage firm, has appointed Nick McNamara as commercial and franchise manager.
His brief is to expand the countrywide network of 25 franchisees to up to 40 by the end of next year, developing untapped areas such as Cornwall; parts of Scotland; Peterborough; Cambridgeshire; Nottingham; Wales; and North Yorkshire.
McNamara is hoping to take on well-established family-run removals firms. Ideally, he says, recruits will have containerised storage and a minimum of three trucks.
McNamara has spent the past seven years in sales, marketing and recruitment. Before joining B&T he was senior sales executive at a marketing firm and ran his own recruitment agency.
