Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

IN ARTICLES titled "its a Fowlerup says Cumbria" and "Cumbria to Appeal" (CM October 31) you refer to Cumberland Motor Services having resorted to the devious tactic of painting the front of some of our buses in yellow to resemble those of Yeowart's Coaches.

We have painted none of our red vehicles in yellow, but on those modern Leyland Nationals operating our competing Havenlink services, we have fitted yellow destination blinds to distinguish them from our normal services.

At the time these blinds were designed and ordered, Mr Yeowart's J registered buses were still in the two-tone green livery of J. Fishwick & Son from whence they originated.

We are not sufficiently impressed by the yellow buses we have seen so far to want to ape our competitor.

P. A. TOWN LEY General Manager Cumberland Motor Services Ltd.

Whitehaven, Cumbria.
