• To air the pros and cons of proposals for a Channel tunnel and its rival the channel bridge, an open forum is being held by the South Place Ethical Society in London on Sunday (May 23), admission free.
Well-informed spokesmen will present their cases, and there will then be an hour's discussion period. The SPES emphasizes that the meeting is non-political and non-sectarian and no resolutions or votes will be called for.
The meeting is at 3 pm in the Conway Hall, Red Lion Square, London WC 1.
