• Swift Transport of Northampton has added three new Leyland Daf 85-330ATi 4x2s with cable reel carrying semi-trailers to its fleet to support a contract with Pirelli.
The air-sprung SAF-axled Miles Nunn low loaders have hydraulically controlled floor wells and rear ramps and use an electric winch on the top to draw the reels on board.
Well infill sections are provided to allow the triaxle trailers to carry smaller reels.
Two of the outfits will be based in Southampton near Pirelli's Eastleigh site, the other in Coventry.
