▪ At its meeting last week the executive board of the Road Haulage Association made no decision about whether to give official Association backing to an appeal against the conviction of Mr. R. Millar who was sentenced to nine months' imprisonment at Liverpool Crown Court for an accident in which one of his vehicles was involved and six people were killed (CM February 28) The Scottish area of the RHA had asked for the appeal to be supported by the Association, but the executive board felt that insufficient documents were available at the meeting for a decision to be reached.
