Stas builds around 2,000 tipping and moving floors a year, and has 1,500 trailers operating here and in Ireland.
Its very latest TPX 24m and 28m'alu' tipper design (CM 12 Oct 06) awaits the completion of tilt tests but isn't expected to go on sale here until the New Year.
Current models for this side of the Channel range from the standard 13.6m bulker with up to 91m3 load volume, to smaller 53.5m moving floor models.
Essentially for grain carriers delivering into old premises, they weigh less than six tonnes, even with moving bulkhead and load mat. DCA running gear and Alcoas.
