Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A NEW TYPE of "modular" ambulance body, which can be fitted to any standard 3.5 tonnes to 6.5 tonnes gross chassis cab, has been developed by PEM Trailers Ltd of Bournemouth with the co-operation of Dorset Area Health Authority and the Department of Health and Social Security.

Each body can be switched between chassis cabs of the same type, so it is feasible that spare bodies can be stored and mounted when required. A kit version of the Pemedic ambulance body that may be assembled on site is also being developed, with the export mar, ket in mind.

A special feature of the Pemedic vehicle is the provision of double side doors in addition to the double rear doors. This allows stretcher trolleys to be side loaded as well as rear loaded, and gives better access to all emergency equipment.

Made from aluminium interlocking panels, aluminium floor and one piece grp roof, the bodies are insulated throughout and fitted with internal melamine finish wall surfaces.
