Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Doctors could be forced to report people they consider medically unfit to drive to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA).

The move comes under a 10minute rule bill, sponsored by Labour MP George Howarth, given a first reading in the House of Commons last week.

Despite Conservative and Liberal Democrat support, the bill could fail when it comes back for a second reading due to lack of parliamentary time.

Howarth introduced the bill after one of his constituents was killed in a crash with a car driven by an elderly man suffering from Alzheimer's disease who had been advised by a consultant psychiatrist to stop driving.
