A NEW concept in semi-trailer design is now being offer& Monoframe (Marketing) Ltd, part of the Hudson trans group in Romford, Essex.
The Monoframe consists of a box section, a single-b chassis with a neck depth of only 90mm (3.5in), which is clai to allow a reduction in overall deck height of about 16f. (6.5in) below the average of more conventional types of struction.
This results in two improvements for the operator: incre load stability from the lower centre of gravity, and, fo operators, greater internal volume within the 4m (13.1ft) 11( restriction when a box van is fitted.
Fully independent wishbone suspension incorporates Du Pneuride air bellows, claimed to improve the ride and ex tyre life.
