Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

S. Smith and Sons (Motor Accessories), Ltd., Cricklewood Works, London, N.W.2, has placed on the market a new inspection lamp, a feature of which is that it may be clipped at a convenient point close to the spot at which one is working, whilst both. hands are free.

The lamp bulb is mounted on a heavy Bakelite base and is protected by a strong wire cage. The base is grooved and around it the flex from the lamp is wound twice, passing through a " tunnel " and, in this way, the cord is effectively gripped. When the Bakelite dome is unscrewed, access may be had to the wiling. A spring clip is attached to the lamp and it is made to be fixed where required.
