Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

An appreciation of the late Mr. Rolls's services to motoring will be found in the current issue of " The Motor,' together with some impressions from the pen of the writer of these lines, who had the unhappy experience of being a near eye-witness of the accident which terminated a promising career in highly-tragic fashion. Mr. Rolls, amongst his varied activities in the motor world, gave passing attention to commercial vehicles. He vonstructed a. steam wagon, with a view to its participation in the third Lancashire trials (1901), hut the machine was nnfortunately completed a few days too late for the tests. Although present at the competition in person. and whilst he subsequently (1905) turned his mind for a few months to motorbus developments, the superior claims of his own magnificent touring-car business absorbed practically the whole of his time thereafter until he began to devote himself (1908) to the science of aviation. It is testimony to his commercial and engineering rapacity, that the first Rolls-Royce car, which had a twocylinder engine of 10 h.p., was completed only at the comparatively-recent date of July, 1904. His loss is felt most keenly by all who had the pleasure of knowing hint.
