A COMPANY "on the fringe" of bus manufacturing is among three serious contenders to buy the Ward Motors business from its receiver.
Receiver Brian Ward, who is not related to the proprietors of the Yorkshire manufacturer of Dalesman coach and bus chassis now in his hands, told CM that three companies were seriously interested in buying the business and assets to continue manufacturing.
He said one company was "on the fringe of this type of activity" and appeared to possess the level of knowledge needed to run the business. Two others possess engineering knowhow.
