AN AMERICAN-MADE heavy-duty air filter which is claimed to be capable of extending filter life by as much as five times has recently become available in the UK.
The Enginaire filter is made of several layers of polyurethane filter foam and each layer has a different porosity and is treated with what is described as "a special oil compound".
Enginaire also offers an air pre-cleaner which consists of a four-vaned stainless steel rotor in an aluminium housing which fits over an air intake stack. The manufacturer says that filter life can be further extended by using the pre-cleaner in conjunction with the filter.
