• Tonbridge, Kent-based S&S Services is offering a £1,000 reward for any information leading to the recovery of its ERF 6x2 tractive unit, registration C274 FKN, which was stolen from its depot some time between 8pm and 3arn on February 10/11.
The Gardner-powered artic is finished in a distinctive blue and red livery, with gold lettering, and has the chassis number 53779. The identification number on its 6LYT engine is 237654.
The company says it has few leads, although the truck is thought to have been seen in the Heathrow area early on the morning of February 11. Anyone with information should contact S&S Services on 0732 358003.
RHA Insurance Services, the Road Haulage Association's own specialist insurance broking company, has negotiated a special discount from the Roadway Goods-in-Transit Insurers in return for the fitting of approved security systems.
Existing holders of Roadway Goods-in-Transit policies which install approved security devices, will automatically receive the discount at the next renewal date of their policy. New customers can take advantage as soon as the approved systems are installed.
