IN A RECENT service bulletin, ERF has emphasised the impor. tance of maintaining air brake hoses in a serviceable conditior at all times.

The following brake hose life span times are those recom. mended by ERF Ltd.

Brake hoses in finished par stores brake hoses have (. recommended shelf-life of three years, and all Westinghouse hoses are date-coded quarterly.

As an example, a hose markec 01 80 will have been manufac tured during the first three months of 1980, and a hos( marked 02 80 during the fol lowing three months.

Stored hoses should be kept ir an uncoiled position and no mixed with items which coulc cut or squash the hose.
