• The yearly statement by the chairman of Turner Manufacturing Co. Ltd. remarks that, of a considerable sum of money spent on design and development of gearboxes during 1968 /69, a large slice went into development of heavier units which will be included in an expansion of the company's range. When completed this will include units with capacities sufficient for many of the larger automotive engines in service today.
Extensive proving trials are at present taking place to ensure that when the new gearboxes are introduced they will be 'bug-free".
