MR. PERCY G. CLADISH has been appointed sales manager of Brockhouse Engineering (Southport), Ltd.

MISS MARY NUNAN, who retires today from the secretarial staff of this journal, has served in turn under each of its three Editors. She joined the journal in 1916, and until becoming, a bombiog casualty in 1944, had never at any time lost more than a single working day. We much regret to lose an assistant whose untiring devotion to duty has always been appreciated.

MR. ARTHUR J. SALMON, the founder, was recently re-elected chairman of the Fellowship of the Motor Industry, an office which he has held since the formation of the F.M.I. in 1936. As Ma. G. WILLIAMS had expressed his desire to relinquish the position of honorary secretary, MR. A. S. HARDINGES, , honorary treasurer since 1947, was elected honorary secretary and treasurer. Mr. Williams was co-opted to the committee.
