Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

II A three-day strike by 100 workers at transport giant TDG's site in Flint has been averted only after the Transport & General Workers Union (T&G) clinched a last-minute pay deal.

The workers, including drivers and warehousemen, had rejected the initial 2.5% pay offer from TDG bosses and voted to take strike action on 14, 18 and 21 August. Agreement to avert the threatened action was only reached at the 11th hour on 13 August, when a 31% offer from TOG backdated to 1 May was accepted by the T&G.

A TX spokesman says: "We would like to thank the T&G at Flint for their co-operation."
