• A one-day conference on the theme of "Land use planning and the transport operator in urban areas" is being jointly sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Transport and Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London, to be held on May 31.

The chair will be taken by Prof Sir Colin Buchanan and delegates will be welcomed by Mr D. E. A. Pettit, chairman, National Freight Corporation.
