• in the Cape district of the Union a large business is done in the canning of craw-fish tails, which, until recently, were sent mostly to France. Large quantities are now being sent to America, where there is a keen demand for this delicacy.
The bodies of the two vehicles were built in Cape Town, and are framed in steel and insulated with Onazote slabs 4 ins. thick. The exterior panels are of aluminium and the interior is lined with stainless steel, with hardwood protective slats.
Both vehicles operate on a 200-mile route from Lamberts Bay to }lout Bay, where the cann&ies are located, and run loaded mainly at night, when temperatures are lower.
