Welford Engineering (Oldbury) Ltd., Hainge Road, Tividale, Warley, Worcs.

A LONG-WHEELBASE version of the Maxitrail tipping trailer on this stand is of all-welded construction with a robust top rail from which the body is virtually suspended. A well in the body provides a centre of gravity well within the wheelbase and provides for a gross loading of around 24 tons, depending on the tractive unit, and a payload of 15/16 tons. It has an unladen weight of 3 tons 14cwt and can carry 18 cu.yd. of low-density material. The Welford single-ram front-end tipping gear is a threestage unit.
