ASPECIAL course of lectures on electric vehicles will be conducted on Tuesday .evenings in October and November by the Smithfield Technical Institute, Eagle Court, St. John's Lane, London, E.C.I. Sessions will be from 5.30 to 7 p.m., and the subjects to be dealt with are as follow:— •
October 1, history, development and characteristics of the electric vehicle, by Mr. E. G. Rutter. October 8, chassis layout and construction: explanation of principal mechanical and electrical features, by Mr. Rutter. October 15, body design and construction, by Mr. R. H. Newbold, October 22, battery construction and performance, by Mr. C. T.
Climpson. October 29 and November 15, vehicle performance and factors affecting performance, by Mr. Rutter. November 12, driving and servicing of vehicles, chargers and batteries, by Mr. G. R. Lewis. November 19, operating costs: future potential and development, by Mr Rutter.
The fee for the course is £1 Is.
