AA £1,308 in fines, costs and back duty by Appleby magistrates.
The Darlington-based company pleaded guilty to using a vehicle in a dangerous condition, with defective brakes and with no excise licence. The court heard that a vehicle examiner imposed immediate prohibitions on a tractor and trailer for 13 defects.
The company was fined £600 for using the trailer with defective brakes and 1400 for using the tractor in a dangerous condition with £258 back duty and £50 costs.
