Paul Rivett has taken on a newly created post at National Carriers of group general distribution director, responsible for developing parcel distribution.

Mr Rivett will control operations, marketing, and financial performance in the general distribution division which includes National and Medallion services; Irish and European operations. The division contributes a total of £40m to company turnover.

He was previously group marketing director at National Carriers. He played a major part in formulating marketing strategy for expansion into contract hire and contract distribution as well as specialised services such as Fashionflow, Chinaflow, and Homeward.

At Giltspur Bullens, its new Crate Hiring Division has taen on G. D. Pritchard as its Holloway-based sales manager for South Britain.

Derek White has moved from Rockwell Maudsley where he was managing director, to head Stonefield Vehicles Ltd. The appointment was made to strengthen management in its export drive on 4x4 and 6x4 on/off highway vehicles.
