• A series of prohibition notices and a 100% annual test failure rate have led to the revocation of the licence held by William Farquhar and Rikki Mann, trading as Transbulk Transport Services of Dunstable.
The partners, who hold a licence for three vehicles and three trailers, failed to appear at a Cambridge disciplinary inquiry before Eastern Deputy Traffic Commissioner John Stevenson.
The Commissioner said the partners wished to surrender the licence and would be making a licence application in the South Eastern & Metropolitan Area for a base in London. But in the circumstances Stevenson did not feel he ought to allow the licence to be surrendered and was driven to the conclusion that he could not take any lesser action than revoking the existing licence.
