MR. REX A. SEBASTIAN has become general Manager of the manufacturing plant of the Cummins Engine Co., Ltd., at Shafts,. Lanarkshire. He was previously director of purchasing at the Columbus factory in Indiana, U.S.A.
MR. A. H. HILL has been appointed Manager of the Bristol branch of the Mercantile Credit Co., Ltd. He was previously manager of the company's branch at Bath and this position has been taken by MR. D. K. GREAVES.
MR. A. E. BREWER (Brewer's. Motor Services, Caerau) has been re-elected chairman of the South Wales• area of the Passenger Vehicle Operators' Association. Ma. H. F. Btu (C. G. Hill arid Sons (Tredegar), Ltd.) is the new vicechairman.
MR. H. C. HINDER, export sales manager of I.T.D., Ltd., left London today on a 34-day-round-the-world tour • to meet overseas agents and distributors. He hopes to acquire first-hand knowledge of materials-handling problems in other countries.
MR. A. F. R. CARLINO, an executive of the British Traction Co., Ltd., MR. H. H. CROW, chairman and managing director, Crow Carrying Co., Ltd., and Ma. E. G. WHITTAKER, transport adviser to the board of Unilever, Ltd. have been elected vice-presidents of the Institute of Transport.
MR. ARNOLD F. MOSELEY has been appointed general sales manager of Dunlopillo in succession to MR. GEORGE CARE, who was recently ,appointed assistant general manager. Mr. Moseley, who will be based at Rochdale, was formerly sales director of Bintex, Ltd. He continues as a director of that company.

MR. C. F. JOHNSON, director and general manager of the Sunbeam Trolleybus Co., Ltd., has retired. He joined the original Sunbeam Motor Car Co. in 1923. MR. B. FOSTER, passenger-vehicles sales manager of Guy Motors, Ltd., is now also responsible for Sunbeam sales.
MR. ALLEN L. Srocx, chairman of the London Chamber of Commerce, MR: RICHARD L. WILLS, deputy chairman, and MR. F. H. TATE, treasurer, have been re-elected to office: Mr. Tate is managing director of Tate and Lyle, Ltd., chairman of Fisher and Stacey, Ltd., Pease Transport, Ltd., and Silver Roadways, Ltd.
THE HON. GEOFFREY ROOTER, deputy chairman and managing director of the manufacturing division of the Rootes Group, succeeds MR, J. M. A, SMITH, assistant managing director of the Ford Motor Co., Ltd,, as president ot the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. MR. M. A. H. BELLHOUSE, deputy chairman of the Pressed Steel Co., Ltd., has been re-elected for a second term as a vice-president. MR, D. G. STOKES, director and general sales and service manager of Leyland Motors, Ltd., has also been elected a vice-president as successor to Mx. M. L. BREEDEN, joint managing director of Wilmot Breeden, who becomes honorary treasurer. SIR WILLIAM BLACK, chairman of A.E.C., Ltd., has been reappointed an honorary officer.
