A N order for 125 Royal Tiger Worldr-L master buses has been placed with Leyland Motors, Ltd., by New South Wales Transport Department. The vehicles arc required for the expansion of services in Sydney and Newcastle and will join a fleet of nearly 600 Leylands operating in the two Australian cities.

AHYDRAULICALLY operated load-clamping device has recently been made available for fitting to Stacatrue fork-lift trucks. As ' the support structure has been designed to take the place of the normal back,guard, no fitting difficulties are presented.

Mounted upon the support structure is a cantilever bracket carrying a lever assembly and a hydraulic ram. A large clamping plate is pivotally mounted on the lever.

With the load in position on the forks, the hydraulic control for the clamp is operated, bringing the plate firmly into contact with the load.

NEW EXCAVATOR ATTACHMENT FOR TRACTOR

AN excavator that will cut a trench 4 ft. 3 in. deep to a maximum width of 1 ft. 8 in. is now available for use with the Ferguson tractor. Driven off the back axle of the tractor, it will cut such a trench at the rate of 25 yd. per hour on a little over quarter throttle.
