Staffing issues at Vosa's Purfleet test station

OPERATORS ARE having to wait up to six weeks for a retest at Vosa's test station in Purfleet, Essex.

According to a source, the office at the test station is struggling to keep up with demand.

"A couple of people have left the office and it's now staffed by two parttime temporary workers who are unfamiliar with the set-up.

-Drivers are being asked to wait sometimes for several hours and the testers are working until 6pin rather than their usual cut-off of 4pm to try to tackle the backlog," the source adds.
