avid Norton hos filled the newly created position of operations director (shared user resource) at Beck & Pollitzer.

He joined the Transport Development Group subsidiary from Transfleet where he spent five years, most recently as a regional director. Before this he spent 15 years with Transfleet's co-owner, the Lex Service Group, which he joined as a management accountant.

In his new role Norton takes charge of seven depots in the shared user system. He will report to B&P's managing director Andrew Cardle until Paul Carvell takes the reins of the non-food consumer and industrial distributor in July.
