MR. ROBERT FLEMING has retired after 24 years' service with the British Wagon Co., Ltd.

MR. S. C. Botsro, president of the Traders' Road Transport Association and immediate past chairman of the N.R.T.F., and MR. R. N. INoitmvt, chairman of the Road Haulage Association, were elected vice-chairmen.

MR. J. W. WOMAR has been appointed to succeed MR. W. G. A. HALL as chief engineer of the Potteries Motor Traction Co., Ltd. Mr. Hall has been appointed chief engineer of Southdown Motor Services, Ltd. Mr. Womar, who served an engineering apprenticeship with the North Western Road Car Co., Ltd., before the war, become personal assistant to the general manager of the Northern General Transport Co., Ltd., in 1949, and was later traffic manager of the Gateshead company. He has held his present position of engineer to Eddison Plant, Ltd., since 1951.

P. 13Locx, managing director. He was for several years personal assistant to the south-eastern divisional manager of British Road Services and later assistant to the national secretary of the Trader' Road Transport Association.

TRIBUTE TO MR. WYNDEATT

ATRIBUTE was paid to the late Mr. Fabian Wyndeatt by Mr. S. W. Nelson, Western Licensing Authority, on Monday. Mr. Wyndeatt was a solicitor who had practised in the Western traffic court for many years and died suddenly last week.
