Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Hargreaves Quarries of Thirsk, North Yorks is looking for owner-driver tipper operators to work out of its roadstone coating plant at Knottingley.

The five owner-drivers will replace casual drivers used by the company so that "as we pull out of the recession we have a more reliable dedicated fleet as opposed to using casuals", says Hargreaves transport manager Bob Sandford.

The company will lease the vehicles from a finance house and sub-let them to the ownerdrivers.

Hargreaves switched to owner-drivers two years ago by replacing its 47 employed drivers with 20 owner-drivers, who "proved to be more efficient", says Sandford.
