following notice:—"Road Traffic Act 1960: A carrier's C licence is not required for this vehicle under the Road and Rail Traffic Act (Exemption) Regulation 1957. For this reason the owners are exempt from the requirements to be caused to be kept a record of hours worked by the driver under the Goods Vehicle (Keeping of Records) Regulations 1936, Reg. 6." I would be glad of your comments.
A The Road and Rail Traffic Act (Exemption)
Regulations, 1957. No. 525 to which you refer sets out in Regulation 2 a number of exemptions where section one of the Road Traffic Act 1960 does not apply.
A further list of exemptions when a carrier's licence is not required is given in the 13th schedule to the Road Traffic Act 1960.
