• York Trailer reports increasing popularity for its Super Load Teamster range of platforms fitted with the company's own widespread running gear. At 40ft length these trailers run with a two axle tractive unit at 32 tons gross.
The accompanying picture shows a good example of a high payload combination. G. and C. Johnson (Claxby) Ltd. runs a Volvo F 86 truck with a York 40ft widespread (SL 32/WS). The truck weighs 5 tons
and the trailer 4 tons 7-1cwt—providing 22 tons 12 cwt 2 qtr for payload. Goodyear Super Singles—optional with York—save 4+ cwt over conventional type equipment. With single leaf springs, another optional, a further 2 cwt can be saved.
• The Clark Stacatruc C50 fork-lift gives a free lift of over 5ft within a lowered mast height of 6ft Bin, and not 8ft as stated last week.
