5,314 new cornmercial vehicles in October brought in £2,081,248, whereas the monthly average in 1938 was 1,190 (£323,597). In the 10 months ended October 37,463 new commercial vehicles were eXported, their value being £14,603,910. These figures exclude new general-haulage tractors and taxis, but included new industrial trucks.
New general-haulage tractors exported in October numbered 129 • (138,576), an improvement On the monthly average of 99 (15,299) in 1938: In the first 10 months of the year, exports totalled 794 (£606,929).
