THE Metropolitan Water Board is standardizing on certain types of vehicle. In the category of light vans and cars, classified as Group 1, Austin l0-cwt. vans and 10 h.p. cars will be adopted, whilst in Group 4 (heavy lorries and articulated vehicles) Cornmer Q4 vehicles will be standard.

Of 19 vehicles in Group 4, six Commer Q4s will be retained and the other machines replaced. Ten Commers are on order, six of them being tippers.
