COMPLIMENT TO COL. IERRETT

TNDER the articles of association of ki the Traders Road Transport Association, the office of chairman is restricted to a continuous period of only two years. The National Council, however, at a meeting on December 13, expressed a unanimous and emphatic desire to retain the invaluable services of Col. A. lerrett, who has held the appointment since the beginning of 1945.

In addition, the Council. took the view that the principal honorary officer should be designated the president. It has, therefore, given authority for steps to be taken for the holding of an extraordinary general meeting to consider the matter, and after that, if thought fit, to alter the articles accordingly.
