and properties has been regrettably slow. In fact, there is a feeling in the industry that the bureaucracy are in no special hurry to get on with the job."
Mr. J. Gibson Jarvie, chairman of United Dominions Trust, Ltd„ made these observations about Transport Unit Finance, Ltd., in his annual report on Wednesday.
T.U.E., he added, had given the organization "endless work" and yet was supposed to provide finance at a very low rate. Whilst valuable help had been given to more than one Government, no assistance had been given to the company in providing the funds involved.
OPERATORS TO OBJECT TO TRANSFER?
I T is understood that excursion opera tors in Southport will 'object when Ribble Motor Services, Ltd., apply to take over the services of Howards Coaches, Ltd., Southport.
Howards, whom Ribble are stated to have acquired, are authorized to run three vehicles a day and have 19 destinations licensed. When Ribble apply to the North Western Licensing Authority they may seek to increase the number of destinations.
Until now, Ribble have provided no excursions from Southport.
