Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Mhatever you may think of the UK's Department of Transport at least it doesn't encourage black and white colleagues to insult each other and women to grope men.

In the US, such a scenario became commonplace at the Department of Transportation where some crackpot introduced "diversity awareness progranunes". One employee said the "training" consisted of three days of "psychological abuse".

Supervisors were taught to "provoke, control and degrade staff" and a fat woman was labelled a "muffin queen". A male witness at a congressional hearing said that he was led through two lines of women; one unbuttoned his shirt and rubbed his chest while another fondled his buttocks.

The "training" caused staff to suffer from depression, threaten suicide and take early retirement. The bizarre classes went on for 11 years until 1993. Only in America could it happen. At Marsham Street the excitement would probably kill them.
