Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Perkins' new Eagle TX engine range will be used by ERF and Seddon Atkinson. Leyland Daf has not yet announced whether it will fit the new fourengine range in the Roadtrain.

ERF will use the TX325 and 375 engines in its E12 4x2 and 6x2 tractors, with the Eaton Twin Splitter. The ERF 8x4 haulage and tipper chassis will get TX300 and 325 engines. The new engines seem unlikely to be fitted to Seddon Atkinson's haulage chassis, but the company will take the TX 325 for the day and sleeper-cabbed Stratos. The TX-engined Strato will cost £42,217 ex-VAT in sleeper cab form, with a kerbweight of 6,910kg. The engine will not be fitted to Stratocruiser high-roof models as Seddon Atkinson feels that the majority of sales will be in day cab versions to the fleet market.

It is not known if Leyland Daf will take the TX range for the Roadtrain tractive units.

For full details of the new engine range see Vehicles News, page 12.
