• Portuguese bodybuilder Elme 2001 has launched its 'CareCoach' on to the UK market.

Distributor, Avondale International of Lytham St Armes has delivered four examples to Salford Social Services Department which showed the vehicle at the 1989 National Coach Rally at Blackpool last weekend.

Mounted on the Leyland Bus Swift 4.4m or 3.6m wheelbase chassis, the CareCoach can carry 22 passengers, a courier and six wheelchairs. Extra seats can be installed if the wheelchair space is not needed.
