• British Rail is to set up a Minilink road/rail container base at Warrington, on its London-Glasgow route. If successful, it will be followed by more depots. A preproduction prototype of the larger version of Minilink, called Ma3dlink, is on display at this week's Rail-freight exhibition at Cricklewood.
