A NEW tipping gear manufacturer, Hydro Hoist Ltd, was launched in Ireland last week. The company is a joint venture between Edbro (Holdings) Ltd and Thompsons of Carlow and is located on a 41/2 acre site made available by the Irish Industrial Development Authority.
The new Hydro Hoist range of tipping gears for trucks will be of the underbody link type and the prime target is North America where there is considered to be a market for some 130,000 units annually.
